LOL WHAT
I see sometimes how people on Tumblr post my old Cars and Cars 2 fanarts here, so I decided to create my own post %)
All these are very old, I drew them before I joined Tumblr, so I never posted them here.
Fuck, my style changed in many ways since I drew that alll XD Wish I could redraw all of them :O
Watched new Russian movie “Start the engine!” (“Ot vinta!” in Rus) about planes, which seemed to be an absolute copy of “Cars” to me. The style is absolutely similar, just have a look:

And the storyline was likely to be stupidly copied from “Cars”: a selfish rookie wants to be a champion, meets the opponent, falls in love with a girl, comes face to face with a legend who doesn’t feel like teaching him, learns what love and friendship is, and here comes the happyend. Character’s personalities were almost similar as well. That is why I wasn’t really pleased. Russians are never able to create something original, they always tend to copy from American masters and their beautiful works. ;_; Especially I was disappointed because of being a “Cars” fan.
But still, after watching I urged and barely resisted to draw a crossover. I just had to do it. Just HAD TO. D:
So here it is. American racers meet Russian pilots. xD
Long time no draw “Cars” fanart… I missed you, fandom? Last time it was in about Oct 2011, not to count my recent pic with Lizzie and Stanley. D: Almost forgot my own designs for gijinka Cars, so I had a strange feeling like I’m fanarting my own stuff %)
At firts I wanted to draw human Thunder with Francesco (because in “Start the Engine!” Thunder was holding a romance with Lightning, The Knight’s love intertest, like Francesco made Sally fall head over heals in love with her whereas McQueen was meant to ge her boyfriend), but then I changed my mind because Thunder’s and Chick’s personalities are VERY similar (they both want to bge first and are ready to use every means to reach this goal). So here are two runner-ups with cunning eyes.
And yup, lifestories of Doc and The Veteran were ABSOLUTELY similar. I’m just wondering how Russians weren’t afraid of such a plagiary, lol.
